Hi, I’m Lakshya.
I’m a wedding photographer, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and above all, someone who’s endlessly fascinated by people and their stories.
Ironically, I never planned to become a wedding photographer.
Back in 2013, while I was pursuing my MBA, my sister got married. Like every overprotective brother, I decided to photograph the wedding myself to make sure it was documented the way I wanted. Somewhere between the laughter, the tears, and the beautiful chaos of those few days, I accidentally found my calling.
That one wedding eventually became Shutterdown.
Today, my team and I have had the privilege of documenting weddings across the world for wonderful families, including people like Jeet Adani, Vikrant Massey, and Keerthy Suresh. Whether it’s twenty guests or two thousand, I believe every family has a story worth telling.
Our work has been featured by Vogue, Netflix’s The Big Day, Huffington Post, and several international publications. I’ve also been featured in Yuva Bharat, recognised among the Times Most Prominent Personalities (2021), and was fortunate to be named one of the Top 50 Wedding Photographers in the World by DWP Congress for two consecutive years.
I’m also a Sony Alpha Imaging Ambassador, which lets me mentor photographers across the country, and I’ve had the opportunity to speak at IIM Ahmedabad about storytelling, photography, and building a creative business.
When I’m not shooting weddings, you’ll probably find me playing the guitar, planning my next road trip, scuba diving, or getting lost in a new country. Music has always been my first love, and it quietly shapes every film we create. Looking back, it’s funny how the things I loved as hobbies ended up becoming the biggest influences on my work.
